Because WHEAT participates in The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) via the food we receive from CT Foodshare we adhere to TEFAP's eligibility criteria. Per these federal guidelines, any CT resident who falls below a predetermined income threshold based on the number of people in the household (235% of the poverty level) is eligible to receive food from WHEAT.

So what does that mean? It means if you live in CT and are struggling to have enough to eat please come see us.

As a reminder, guests are no longer required to bring any proof of residence, income or identification.
